This pre-imaged 512MB USB recovery drive is a helpful maintenance accessory designed to restore supported Pulcro.io TurnKey Mini PCs to the factory software originally provided. It is ideal for customers who want a clean reinstall, need to recover a system, or have replaced the SSD and want to deploy a fresh Pulcro-provided software image.

The Pulcro Plan B Recovery USB is built specifically for Pulcro.io TurnKey Mini PCs only. Once booted, the recovery environment connects to Pulcro.io servers over a wired internet connection, authenticates the device, and downloads the appropriate recovery image for reinstallation. This process helps bring your system back to a known-good Pulcro.io software state using a guided recovery workflow.

This product is not a general-purpose boot USB drive and is not intended for non-Pulcro systems. At this time, it is designed for supported TurnKey One, TurnKey Two, TurnKey QBE, and TurnKey Node Mini PCs.

How It Works

The recovery USB includes a lightweight recovery environment and services that authenticate the device with Pulcro.io content servers before reimaging begins. Once authenticated, the system downloads the appropriate recovery image and proceeds with restoring the target Mini PC.

The process is designed to simplify recovery for supported TurnKey systems while helping ensure that the image deployed is appropriate for the device being restored.

To get started:

1. Insert the Pulcro.io Plan B Recovery USB into any available USB port.
2. Reboot or power on your Pulcro.io TurnKey Mini PC.
3. When the first boot screen appears with the Pulcro.io splash screen, press F7 to open the boot menu.
4. Select the Pulcro.io Recovery Drive from the list of boot devices.
5. Choose the first menu option: Remote Deploy/Capture.

All Data on the Target Drive Will Be Deleted

Important: the recovery and reimaging process will erase the contents of the target storage device. Any existing data, applications, local settings, and user files on the target drive will be removed as part of the reinstall process.

Factory Software Originally Provided

In standard use, the Pulcro Plan B Recovery USB restores your supported TurnKey Mini PC to the factory software originally provided with that system. This is especially useful for customers who want to return to a clean, known baseline.

Please note that some custom work, custom configurations, or special deployments may not fall under this default recovery scope. If you need a different supported image, Pulcro.io Customer Support may be able to arrange an alternate target image before recovery is performed. This must be coordinated in advance by contacting hello@pulcro.io.

Internet Connection Notice

An active internet connection is required because the recovery environment connects to Pulcro.io servers to authenticate and download the reimage content. Recovery time may vary depending on your network speed and reliability.

Your internet service provider’s normal data usage or bandwidth charges may apply depending on your service plan.

License Agreement Notice

Use of the Pulcro Plan B Recovery USB constitutes acceptance of the Pulcro.io End User License Agreement (EULA). By booting, accessing, or using this recovery device, and by downloading or reinstalling any Pulcro.io software image, you agree to be bound by the applicable license terms. Important Requirements Before Use

To use the Pulcro Plan B Recovery USB, you will need:

• A supported Pulcro.io TurnKey Mini PC
• An active wired Ethernet internet connection (with Internet access)
• DHCP on the connected network
• A monitor and keyboard

WiFi is not supported for this recovery workflow. A wired Ethernet connection is required so the device can authenticate and download the recovery image from Pulcro.io servers.

Model-Specific Ethernet Connection Notes

When using the Pulcro Plan B Recovery USB, please connect the primary Ethernet cable as follows:

• TurnKey QBE: connect the primary Ethernet cable to the port furthest away from the power inlet
• TurnKey Two: connect the primary Ethernet cable to the port closest to the power inlet

Following these instructions helps ensure the recovery environment uses the expected network interface during authentication and reimaging.

Please make sure you have backed up any data you wish to keep before starting recovery.

Diagnostic and Telemetry Disclosure

During recovery, the Pulcro Plan B Recovery USB may transmit limited technical diagnostics and provisioning information to Pulcro.io servers in order to authenticate the device, support imaging workflows, improve recovery reliability, and assist with troubleshooting and support operations. Pulcro.io does not collect personal files, user data, application data, login credentials, or network traffic contents as part of this recovery workflow.
