All operating systems we provide are based on official images published by their respective authors. While they may not always be the most current version, every image is carefully tested in our lab to ensure compatibility, stability, and performance. We also monitor public feedback to better infuse our product update cycles.
We apply only minimal modifications—just enough to ensure a smooth and reliable out-of-box experience. For full transparency, here is a summary of what we configure:
- Home Assistant: No modifications made to the official image.
- Windows® 11 Professional: Only essential drivers are installed (graphics, chipset, audio, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth). Script that activates your Windows license and expands the file system to utilize the entire drive’s available space.
- FreePBX: Installed from scratch using Debian, with Asterisk and FreePBX plus all required libraries.
- Proxmox VE:
- Custom welcome banner with default credentials and IP address (clears after first login).
- Primary NIC set to DHCP; secondary NIC set to static IP (192.168.68.1/24).
- Thin LVM provisioning enabled for optimized performance.
- Includes Home Assistant as a sample KVM virtual machine.
Each Mini PC includes a recovery partition with a Debian-based Recovery Tool that we have created ourselves – allowing you to reset the device to its original factory state at any time.

I can’t say enough good things about this company. I had several pre-sale questions and they answered everything quickly and professionally. The product itself is awesome. It came with the latest Home Assistant OS preloaded, and ready to go. I have had zero issues getting my devices configured. I hope they continue to sell this because I think there are others out there like myself who would like a little more power than a raspberry pie and don’t have the time or patience to go through HAOS installation. I’m willing to pay a little bit of a premium to get an out of the box solution. Highly recommend!
I have a ton of home automations. One day, when my Internet failed (a contractor cut the cable), I realized that a local solution would be preferred. I am by no means an expert when it comes to using a Home Assistant Server, but I am learning. Specifically, I'm learning that Matter devices matter in that regard, and Alexa compatibility is not the 'end-all solution'. This device is letting me get headed in the right direction with all my automation devices and routines.
I did deduct 1 star because the unit does not have a two state On/Off switch. Thus, when AC power is interrupted for some reason, the unit is OFF until you physically press the power button to turn it back On. Thus, if the power blips momentarily when I am out-of-town, none of my local automations run until I get back home and press the power button.

We've outlined the steps to configure this in our FAQ, as well as, enabled this feature by default on all Mini PCs we ship with Home Assistant preinstalled. I bought this to replace a virtual machine that I was running home assistant on. I purchased the version that has home assistant preinstalled. The system worked perfectly. It was easy to transfer over all my stuff to the new system. I am very pleased.

This cube is amazing. It’s so small but packs a punch. I use it to drive three monitors for my day trading setup, and it’s flawless. Also, it’s so light and portable that I can take it with me when I travel. Love it.
