That’s completely normal! Home Assistant OS is designed to run headless – which means you don’t need a monitor or keyboard to use it.
Instead, you’ll access the Home Assistant interface from another device on the same network (like your phone, tablet, or laptop).
Here’s how to get started: Note the IP address shown in the terminal screen. It will usually begin with: 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x or 172.16.x.x. You can ignore everything after / (slash).
On another device connected to the same network, open a web browser and type: http://YOUR_IP_ADDRESS:8123 For example: if your IP address is 192.168.10.20, you would type – http://192.168.10.20:8123
This will load the Home Assistant setup screen. From there, you can finish configuration and begin your Home Assistant journey.
